- Public session called to order at 7:00 pm
- Prayer by Pastor Dave Beutel
- Approval of the minutes of July 13, 2017 meeting
Motion by Scott Thomson, seconded by Mike Fisher
- Treasurer’s report, $729.75
- The name of the group will be changed from NT Citizens on Patrol to NT Neighborhood Watch. Motioned by Scott Thomson, seconded by Mike Fisher voted 7 approved, 6 opposed.
- Officer Cake:
August 19 Child Safety Seat @ Rescue Fire Hall, every third Saturday thanks to NYS Grant. North Tonawanda will have own dispatch channel starting Jan 1, 2018. Police received active shooter kits with a NYS Grant.
- Community Speak - Members of the community will be given 4 minutes to ask a question, with a 3 minute follow up.
-CHANT: Looking for Chairman and Secretary. CHANT has a parent partnership to help parents understand their children. The 8th graders will be getting IPads and will be getting educated on cyber security.
-Will from NT Coalition for Safe Schools & Streets was in attendance and informed us about the group. The group is trying to curb bullying at school and incidents of violence with North Tonawanda by youths. They are working with CHANT and the juvenile detective. Working to get programs into the schools.
- Robin Powers talked about NYS Coalition Against Domestic Violence and wants to create a registry.

- Still looking for ways to publicize meetings.
